Career Connect — Organising Committee
Contributed to Career Connect across two consecutive years, progressing from operational support and media coordination to active event execution and registration management for one of the school’s largest higher-education outreach events.
Career Connect was one of the school’s largest higher-education outreach initiatives, bringing together universities, counsellors, and students for academic and career exploration.
“Across two consecutive editions, my role evolved from supporting event execution to actively helping run operations on-ground.”
Event Context
The event hosted universities from across India and overseas, creating direct interaction opportunities for students exploring higher education pathways, career planning, and academic programs.
Career Connect functioned not only as an exhibition space, but also as a structured operational event involving scheduling, crowd flow, registrations, university coordination, and student assistance systems.
Career Connect 2024
In 2024, I joined the organising committee primarily in a support and coordination role under the senior student team.
- —Assisted in social media and promotional content creation
- —Helped design and prepare event communication materials
- —Supported event setup and venue preparation
- —Handled operational assistance during live event execution
- —Contributed to announcements and student coordination
Much of the experience came from observing how large institutional events were structured behind the scenes — from media coordination to operational planning and execution flow.

Student Audience : Grades 9–12
Role : Operational Support
Focus Area : Media + Event AssistanceTransition into 2025
By 2025, the role shifted significantly. Instead of functioning as support under seniors, I became part of the core organising structure responsible for helping execute the event directly.
“The difference between assisting an event and helping run it is pressure.”
Career Connect 2025
In 2025, I worked on event operations and registration management, coordinating directly with students, delegates, and university representatives during live execution.
- —Managed registration desk operations
- —Handled attendee guidance and flow management
- —Supported university coordination and scheduling
- —Assisted with operational troubleshooting during the event
- —Worked with the organising team on event readiness and execution
A large part of the pressure came from preparing the event environment itself — coordinating logistics, supporting setup workflows, and ensuring the event was ready before opening day.
One of the defining moments was sitting with the organising team late into the evening at the amphitheatre, preparing systems and setups for the following day’s execution.

Reflection
Working on Career Connect provided direct exposure to universities, academic pathways, and institutional outreach systems at scale. It changed how I viewed higher education — not just as admissions, but as ecosystems built around opportunities, culture, and direction.
The experience also reinforced how operational discipline affects event quality. Even student-facing events rely heavily on invisible systems — registrations, communication flow, scheduling, and coordination.
“Large events succeed when preparation becomes invisible to the people attending them.”
